Why a Co-op?
The Sandalwood Growers Co-op is a legal structure to enable grower's to be professionally supported. Co-operatives have been around for a long time and are used to represent the economic interests of common parties such as growers. The Co-op has the ability to provide services and if it makes a surplus it can distribute that surplus to growers in proportion to their economic participation in the Co-op.
The Co-op has been registered pursuant to section 19(1) of the Co-operatives Act 2009 on 8 November 2017.
The Co-op will provide a range of services and enter into services arrangements for any additional services required on behalf of growers.
